As with several of the titles in this series the printing history is confused and contains mistakes. In particular there are three different 7th printings. The following are listed in order of price under the assumption the lowest priced copies were sold first.- 4th printing 1965. Multi currency pricing printed to back. U.K. 30p, Australia 95c, New Zealand $1.00, Canada $1.25. One copy has been found. It is probable that spare sets of pages from 1965 were bound with new covers around 1972.
- 6th printing 1965. Multi currency pricing printed to back. U.K. 30p, Australia 95c, New Zealand $1.00, Canada $1.25. One copy has been found. It is probable that spare sets of pages from 1965 were bound with new covers around 1972.
- 7th printing 1972. Multi currency pricing printed to back. U.K. 30p, Australia $1.00, New Zealand $1.00, Canada $1.25. Only the Australian price has increased.
- 8th printing 1973. Multi currency pricing printed to back. U.K. 30p, Australia 95c, New Zealand $1.00, Canada $1.25. Note the Australian price has dropped, perhaps the 8th printing used up excess spare covers.
- 7th printing 1972. Multi currency pricing printed to back. U.K. 45p, Australia $1.40, New Zealand $1.35, Canada $1.75. This is a different printing to the earlier 7th printing with different formatting to the title page.
- 7th printing 1972. Multi currency pricing printed to back. U.K. 60p, Australia $1.75, New Zealand $2.05, Canada $2.25. Again this is a different printing to the earlier 7th printing as there is no longer a list of the previous printings. The list of previous books contains “James Bond : The Authorised Biography” by John Pearson. This book was not released until 1975 which fits in with the higher prices confirming this printing was not from 1972.
